Macon Arts Alliance

The mission of the Macon Arts Alliance is to foster and support the advancement of arts and culture in Central Georgia. We are working to create an environment where arts and culture thrives and Central Georgia is recognized as an unparalleled cultural destination.
Macon Arts Alliance is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1984. Since then we have worked to support, promote and advocate for the $18 million arts and culture industry in Macon-Bibb County and throughout Central Georgia. We serve more than 60 arts and cultural organizations and the fine arts programs of five universities throughout the mid-state, reaching an audience of more than 500,000 people.
The Gallery at Macon Arts Alliance exhibits and sells work by more than 100 fine artists from throughout the state of Georgia. The central gallery exhibits a new show each month with First Friday Opening Receptions each month from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission to The Gallery is always free and open to the public.

	Georgia Children's Museum The Georgia Children’s Museum is a non-profit 501(c)3 educational and cultural museum for children ages two to twelve and their families. Exhibits and Programs are designed to encourage adult and child interaction – encouraging family play and dialogue, supporting curiosity and creativity and sparking a love of learning! GCM seeks to strengthen the fabric of education for all children throughout the Middle Georgia region including Macon, Warner Robins, Perry, Forsyth, Byron. 	The Grand Opera House The Grand Opera House, often called The Grand and also known as Academy of Music, is a historic opera house located in Macon, Georgia. Originally known as the Academy of Music, the Grand was built in 1883 and 1884 with the largest stage in the southeastern United States, outstanding lines-of sight and acoustics (both still notable today), and seats for 2,418, nearly a fifth of Macon's population at the time. 	Macon Little Theatre Since 1934 Macon Little Theatre has provided high quality, family entertainment for the entire Central Georgia area. Since its inception, the theatre has presented performances of more than 300 major productions. Remarkably, every performance is produced primarily by volunteers - workers, set designers, seamstresses, actors - and, with the exception of two full-time employees, part-time personnel. The high quality of the performances is a reflection of the immense talent and involvement of hundreds of citizens.
	Tubman African American Museum The Tubman African American Museum is located in Macon, Georgia, USA. It is located in the city's museum district near the Georgia Children's Museum and Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. Founded in 1981, this 8,500-square-foot museum is dedicated toward preserving and displaying African American art, history, and culture. It also offers an array of exhibitions, programs, and publications geared to adults, families, and students and teachers in grades K-12 and college. It offers dancing, drama, drumming, photography, and visual art classes focused on African American culture.
	Warner Robins Little Theatre The community theatre group was formed in 1962 and has continuously produced live theatre for fifty years. The season begins with the July production and includes five main stage productions each year along with special Kaleidoscope events presenting special performances or theatre events. In June of 1980, the group purchased Harold’s BBQ restaurant and it transformed into the playhouse, which is located at 502  S. Pleasant Hill Rd. in Warner Robins. With seating for just 98, WRLT offers an intimate theatre experience. The newly paved and expanded parking lot provides easy and convenient access to the theatre entrance.
