Faculty at Macon State College, Mercer University and Wesleyan team up every year to sponsor a series of big screen movies. Faculty at Macon State College, Mercer University and Wesleyan team up every year to sponsor a series of big screen movies. To start off Febuary, CollegeTown will be presenting "Moonrise Kingdom",  ( rated PG - 13, duration 1hr and 34 min) a story about a pair of young lovers who flee their New England town and spark a local search party to find them.The CollegeTown Film Series compliments student life activities, supports downtown revitalization and gives students an enriching experience right here in Macon. Previous CollegeTown Film Series themes included "End Times," "Madness," "City Life," "Films of the Fabulous Fifties," "Social Justice in the 20th Century," "The New Millennium: The Past as Prologue" and "Civilization and Its Discontents."
